Many La Center homes sit on rural lots outside the city, with gravel drives and animals. Others are in the newer neighborhoods closer to town. Both see plenty of tracked-in dirt.
Every job starts with a walk-through. We look for pet spots, traffic lanes and the kind of soil in your carpet, pre-treat to match, agitate the fibers, then rinse it all out with truck-mounted hot water extraction. Safe and effective carpet cleaning you can count on.

What We Do
How We Work
We stand behind our work and will make it right if you’re not satisfied.
Our Residential Carpet Cleaning Process Goes Above and Beyond!
We take pride in careful work. Big job or small, we want every client to be happy with the result.
Questions? Just call or send us a message.
Before any cleaning starts, we walk the rooms with you. We look at traffic areas, carpet type and problem spots, and we’ll let you know up front if a stain may not fully come out.
Ask us to move your sofa and we will, with no added charge.
While we walk through, we sort out what kind of spots you have. Some get a pre-treatment with a pH neutralizing spray made for that type of spot. Our products are green and safe for the family.
Next comes a pre-conditioner that loosens the soil so it rinses out more easily. It is an environmentally friendly product tested and approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute. In heavy traffic areas we may also run a carpet groomer or pile lifter to loosen even more soil.
Once the soil is loose, our truck-mounted hot water extraction process thoroughly flushes the carpet pile. We also regulate pressure and heat so the carpet does not get over-wet. This step also sanitizes and deodorizes your carpet. At Mountain View Carpet Care, we also go the extra step with a double extraction. This helps improve your air quality and speeds up drying.
We pH balance every carpet we clean, so no sticky residue stays behind. Depending on soil conditions, we apply this treatment as a rinse through the machine or after rinsing.
If a spot is still there after cleaning, we go after it with specialty spotting methods and written procedures for that situation. Some stains noted during the inspection may not come out completely.
If you want it, we apply fabric protection to help guard against dry soil and liquid spills. Adding it after every professional cleaning helps the carpet keep its look longer.
High velocity fans go on the carpet to help it dry faster.
Then we set the carpet pile in one direction with a carpet rake. This improves the look and also helps the carpet dry.
Last, we walk the cleaned areas with you and go over the results, to make sure you are happy with the work.
Residential Carpet Cleaning FAQ
How much does carpet cleaning cost?
Price depends on the number of rooms and stairs, how soiled the carpet is, whether any spots need pet urine treatment, and options like fabric protection or speed drying with high-velocity fans (part of the premium package). Estimates are free: call 360-721-3166 or request a free estimate online with your room count and problem spots. At the walk-through, Richard points out any stains that may not come out completely before cleaning starts, and moving a sofa is included at no extra charge.

What cleaning method do you use?
Truck-mounted hot water extraction, often called steam cleaning. After a walk-through and pre-spotting, the carpet is pre-sprayed with a conditioner approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute, then flushed with a double extraction while heat and pressure are controlled so it isn’t over-wet. Every carpet is pH balanced so no sticky residue stays behind, then groomed with a carpet rake. Hot water extraction is a widely recognized carpet cleaning method, including in care guidance from carpet manufacturers.
