Replacing carpet is expensive. So a lot of times, a better option is to simply repair it. Not only will it cost less but it will also be quick and easy.

During our process, we may need to replace pieces in problem areas. In other situations, we may be able to fix it by stretching the carpet out a bit. We do this if the carpet is buckling or wrinkling.

No matter what the issue is, Mountain View Carpet Care can do the job right and bring your carpet back to normal. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.

Carpet Repair and Stretching for Washougal Homes

The Washougal River and the Port of Camas-Washougal waterfront trails are close to many homes. Pets that go in and out often pick at the carpet near doorways, and we can often patch those spots.
There are older homes near downtown Washougal, along with newer neighborhoods. Older carpet often loosens and ripples over time, and re-stretching can make it flat again.
Downtown Washougal has small shops, offices and restaurants. In offices and shops, rolling chairs and carts can make carpet ripple, and stretching can fix it.

Damp months can make loose carpet bunch up more, and a re-stretch takes care of it. Ready to get started in Washougal? Request a free estimate.

Carpet Repair & Stretching Goes Above and Beyond!

We take pride in high-quality work. Regardless of the job, we work hard so every client is happy with it.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

We begin with a walk-through together. Your technician looks at the soil level and the type of carpet, listens to your concerns, and points out any stains that could be permanent.

Step 2: Furniture Moving

We will move a sofa at your request for no extra charge.

Step 3: Pre-Spot

During the walk-through, we identify the types of spots. Then we may pre-treat them with specific pH neutralizing sprays. Also, don’t worry: all our products are green and safe for the family!

Step 4: Pre-Spray and Pre-Groom

We apply a pre-conditioner picked for your carpet. It lifts soil so dirt and spots release more easily, and it is environmentally friendly and approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute. When traffic lanes are very dirty, we pre-groom with a groomer or pile lifting machine.

Step 5: Extract and Rinse

Once the soil is loose, our truck-mounted hot water extraction process thoroughly flushes the carpet pile. We also regulate pressure and heat so the carpet does not get over-wet. This step also sanitizes and deodorizes your carpet. At Mountain View Carpet Care, we also go the extra step with a double extraction. This helps improve your air quality and speeds up drying.

Step 6: Neutralizer

Every carpet we clean gets pH balanced so it is not left sticky. Based on the soil, we apply the neutralizer through the machine as a rinse or right after rinsing.

Step 7: Post Spot Treatment

If any spots remain after cleaning, we use specialty spotting techniques. We have written procedures for every situation. Note: Stains that the technician identifies as possibly permanent may not come out.

Step 8: Fabric Protection – Optional

If you want it, we apply fabric protection to help guard against dry soil and liquid spills. Adding it after every professional cleaning helps the carpet keep its look longer.

Step 9: Speed Dry (Premium Package)

High velocity fans go on the carpet to help it dry faster.

Step 10: Post Grooming

We rake the pile so it all lays in one direction. It looks better and dries more evenly.

Step 11: Post Cleaning Inspection

At the end, your technician walks through with you to look at the results together. We want you to be happy with the job before we leave.

Carpet Repair & Stretching FAQ

How much does carpet repair or stretching cost?

It depends on the job: re-stretching carpet that has buckled or wrinkled, or patching a damaged area, such as pet damage near a doorway, with a replacement piece. Repair often costs less than replacing carpet. If you saved leftover carpet from the original install, keep it handy, since it gives the closest match for a patch.
