Grease Stain Removal in Clark County, Start to Finish
A food spill is usually two problems in one: the grease or oil, and whatever color came with it. Rich deals with both.
- Look and ask. Rich checks the spots and asks what was spilled. Tomato sauce, curry and mustard need different attention than butter or cooking oil.
- Pre-treat the grease. Each spot is pre-treated with a product chosen to break down oils and food residue.
- Hot water extraction. Truck-mounted equipment flushes the carpet with heated water and pulls the loosened grease back out. Heat helps here, since grease lets go more easily when it is warm.
- Rinse. The carpet is pH balanced and not left sticky, so it does not attract new dirt.
- Final check. Rich walks through the results with you, and air movers can speed up drying.

Why Kitchen and Dining Room Spills Turn Into Dark Spots
Grease does not always look like much at first. A drop of oil can leave a spot that is barely visible. Over the next few weeks, though, it catches the dirt that gets walked in, and that faint spot turns gray or brown. That is why the area under a dining table or in front of the couch often looks darker than the rest of the room.
Colored foods add a second layer. Tomato sauce, curry, mustard and anything with turmeric carry pigments that can stain the fibers even after the grease is gone.
Before Rich arrives
Scrape up solids first. Use a spoon or a dull knife to lift food off the carpet instead of pressing it in.
Blot the oil. Use paper towels or a white cloth with firm pressure, and do not rub.
Go light on soap. A tiny amount of dish soap in water can help on fresh grease, but any soap left behind becomes a dirt magnet. Blot with plain water afterward.
Use white towels. Colored towels or napkins can transfer dye onto a light carpet.
Results on grease are usually good. Strong food dyes, especially turmeric and some sauces, may leave a lighter shadow behind, and Rich will tell you what to expect.
